Horrific experience with this product. Within 4 months, the refrigerator and freezer were not cooling. Service person visited and determined the compressor was broken. Despite the fact that it is still under warranty, GE / Bodewell has spent weeks giving me the runaround™"shipping giant boxes of parts to my apartment without telling me, scheduling different appointments, having me call 10+ different service departments, and still no one is able to fix it. I haven™™t had a working refrigerator for almost a month. What is the point of a warranty if not that it prevents this kind of thing from happening? Terribly inefficient product and experience.

refrigerator is noisier than expected. cycles on/off more than the 15+ year old one it replaced.
freezer malfunction 51 days after install. frost and running at 20+ degrees.

It's kept our food nice and cold so far. I didn't like having to also buy an ice maker for it. The door shelves hold a lot.

The freezer door gasket leaked from day one. I called GE and a different gasket was mailed to me. The second gasket did not correct the leakage. I'm still going to call GE again, but don't have confidence a third one will work.

I've only had it for a day not quite a whole day yet but it seems to be working perfectly and it's very quiet compared to my old one I just hope it lasts a bit longer than the old one did.

cooling system did not function at all waited 24 hrs on recommended setting what happened to quality control had to return the item. getting the same item only from home depot do not recommend lowes to distribute product. Lets see what happens on next refrigerator. would like to see a reimbursement for food lost and the extreme inconvenience of having to return a new refrigerator and the time delay of having another one delivered

i have had it 2 weeks, its cold, quiet , doesn't run that much and the doors seal tight. its replacing a 36 year old frigidaire. its plain Jane but that's what i wanted. none of the bells and whistles to fail. was on sale . delivered on time . if it lasts a third of the time as my old one i'll be happy.

17.5 cubic foot is perfect size for me. The shelving is acceptable and easily adjusted. The temperature seems accurate & constant.

I've only had the refrigerator for 3 days and am pretty happy with this appliance. The temperature (3 as recommended by the manufacturer) is perfect. Beverages are nice and cold. The light in the refrigerator is nice and bright. Glass shelves look great. I do not like the deli drawer being in the middle as I have lost some space to store items and that is the reason that I gave it 4 stars. It really is 4 1/2 stars in my opinion.

Poor design. When letting the refrigerator door close on its own, the freezer door pops open from having poor seal on magnetic gasket. I went to Lowe™™s and tested 2 of the same GE refrigerator on display and both freezer doors popped when the refrigerator door closed. This makes the unit run more often.

When I tried to adjust the feet, the left was frozen and when it broke loose it only spun. I put a small block of wood under it to adjust the height. I doubt it can be fixed. Sad.

this is a very well priced refrigerator. it fit our budget well and it works wonderfully. the only thing I think would make this fridge perfect would be to have an interior light in the freezer portion.

Just had this delivered last night, left temperature on high, and came down to find all my frozen goods thawed, ice cream™™s melted. Lost over $200 in groceries, my ice chest kept things colder than this. Do not buy if you expect items to freeze and stay cold.

Main door seal was defective from the factory , should have never been delivered to a store . A thorough inspection from ge would have saved me a lot of hassle , replacement fridge I got has a poor paint job or got rubbed by something!

I purchased this same model seven years ago and was shocked when it no longer cooled. I live in a mobile home and am limited in the size of fridge that fits in the space allowed. So I again purchased the same model last week. I sure hope I can get more than seven years out of it™¦..disappointing.

Refrigerator freezer is just what I wanted.. Perfect size for the space . I'm not really happy with how the temperature is adjusted because I can't control each unit..I received no owners manual so if there was a way to control each unit I have no idea how that would work since thee is only one dial.That's really my only complaint.As far as installation the installers were wonderful.. They were courteous and very helpful ..

We replaced our old GE refrigerator with this new one because the compressor was failing. The old one ran quietly, but the new one is much noisier. We can hear the fan blowing even when we are in the living room. We notice it most after it's been running and shuts off. The sudden quiet is very noticeable. I called the place we bought it from and told him about this and he told me that that's how the new ones run.

This is a basic refrigerator. I did not get mine with an ice maker, but you can add it. I did have the handles adjusted to the other side to work with my space. Overall after a few weeks, it seems like a nice item. Only negatives is that there is no light in the freezer, and only one light in the fridge itself. It also runs a bit louder than previous refrigerator.
