The dryer works fine and holds a lot but I didnt realize it was so basic. No drum light no wrinkle release and no timer. There is only 20 40 and 60 minutes.
I wish I had realized this before I bought it and I would have bought the next one up.

Highly unsatisfying dryer. Does not dry clothes well. Leaves clothes wet and with an odor. LG technician has been out 2 times in one week. The technician was supposed to come a 3rd time but never called or showed up. Still not working well. Requesting the return unit with a full refund since this is only 3 months old and still under warranty.

drying mostly OK. The end of cycle alarm can only be heard if you are in the same room. Note: my washer dryer is not in my living room. My 14 year old Whirlpool dryer actually worked better before it rusted. Would not buy this again

I am very disappointed in this product . I have only had the dryer since November 2025. I called LG the first week for dryer shutting off and clothes were still wet. They walked me through their diagnostics and end result they had me disable the energy efficient option. Problem continued happening called again they did more diagnostics and said only run on manual cycles. Problem still kept happening. At this point the third party call center was not understanding the problem. They finally sent a truck out to Ho discovered the main board was not getting to temperature. He replaced that. Problem still there. They sent tech back out he couldnt find anything else wrong. Lg said there was nothing else they could do for me. Bottom line the dryer is badly designed. The sensor thinks clothes are dry but inside of clothes are wet. Huge drum small blower vent and sensor is definitely in wrong spot. Dryer only 7 months old and I bought this set thinking it would be better. Its not energy efficient if the settings have to be disabled. I have a year manufacturer warranty. The right thing to do is take it back and let me get something different. Now Im stuck. Thanks LG . Life is not good.

This model is the base of base models. I regretted this purchase the first time I ran a load of laundry This dryer is the noisiest with loud chiming at each end of the cycle and intermittently if you dont take care of it right away. There is NO way to turn off the sound. The sensor on the dryer senses the clothes are dry after only 30 minutes at best even if I run a time dry cycle. I am on the third run of my current load. There is also no light inside the drum to help you see to get the clothes out. The Normal setting does not allow for a temperature change. If I want a temperature other than medium I have to change the setting. The only pro is that there is ZERO SMART/ AI/ WIFI/ APP anything to it.

0/10 terrible experience. This dryer never worked. LG did absolutely everything they could to not give me a refund. I will never EVER buy another LG product. I had 3 different service techs come and each time they thought they fixed the problem. NOPE. The dryer would shut off after running for 5 minutes. This has been going on for over a month

Leaving a follow up review LGs response to my one-star review I left eight days ago of a dryer the DLE6100W referenced a microwave. Im assuming this irrational and totally unhelpful response was the work of a bot or newly adopted AI. I did call a repairman and he informed me that nothing was wrong besides the board that controls the automatic dryer cycles which is a fairly valuable feature. It seems LG agrees as the board is $200+ which is about half the cost of a new dryer albeit easy to install just hard to stomach having to pay the equivalent of half a new dryer after only having the dryer for a year and a half when the same board could go out again. Truly one of the more disappointing experiences Ive had with an appliance or purchase of any kind.

This was the worst experience I have ever had with any purchase that I have made in my 60 years. The dryer did not function properly yawls repair people could not fix it and yall decided to refund my money. I have been in contact with your presidential liaison team for the past three months trying to get a refund check and everybody keeps passing the book and I have still not received my refund.

After FINALLY having our dryer looked at by one of their specialists we learned a lot about this dryer. For one the Sensor Dry settings is a huge design flaw. The specialist said the sensors that check for humidity dry/wet clothes can be covered by a piece of clothing thats dry so it will turn off the heat thus not drying the rest of the clothes. We switched to using the Manual Time setting and running it that way. Secondly the technician found two metal tie caps in the back of the drum causing the noise. This happened because when we first used the NEW dryer some of the bottoms with cloth ties and metal tips/ends would get STUCK by the lint trap and twirl around the drumb the entire drying cycle and would sometimes be ripped off by the dryer. This is a HORRIBLE design flaw. The technician who came out was GREAT I want to point that out. He was helpful and gave us tips for the washer and dryer.
I also want to mention the customer service was AWFUL. We bought this washer/dryer set Sept. 1st 2025 and it started having problems in January 2026 so it was very new and lightly used its just two of us in our house I called multiple times spending hours on the phone just trying to get a technician to come look at the machine and with every phone call someone wanted to run through the diagnostics with me. When we finally got approval for a technician they scheduled the appointment when we both had to work at the hospital so we couldnt change that around. When I called to reschedule they said they had to cancel the request and I would have to call to submit a new service request the following week because their schedules arent made that far ahead of time. I asked to speak with a supervisor was told they would call me back and they never did. I waited 24 hours and called back going through the entire process over again. The supervisor was barely more helpful and made a note of the preferred day we would like the technician to come out to our house. Overall the customer service was AWFUL and I would not recommend them.

I do not recommend this dryer. I have had it for about three months the lettering of the control panel wipes off with just a finger touch. The words are wiping away and the controls will not be usable because I will not know eventually what each button is. LG will not take responsibility for it they tell me its a cosmetic issue even though the dryer will be unusable when all the words finally do wipe off. they told me to contact the store where I purchased it I did so and that store told me that it was LGs responsibility. I called customer service probably eight or nine times and they continue to tell me that it is my problem. LG will not stand behind their product an. They will not apologize. I find this to be a very poor product and definitely not worth the money. repair or remedy.

I decided to get this dryer to match the washer I had just purchased and I am so glad I did. It performs so well and I absolutely love the dry sensing technology. My clothes are dry in half the time. I love the tune that my washer and dryer sing when the cycles are done. A must buy in my book

I purchased an LG dryer directly from lg.com and paid extra for professional installation by RXO. What a mistake. The installers left the vent hose completely unattached. I pointed it out during installation and they assured me theyd fixed it but I couldnt verify because the washer was already in place.
Fast forward to running the dryer for the first time: the laundry room got unbearably hot which immediately raised red flags. I had to stick my phone behind the machines to see what was going on the vent hose was barely hanging on exactly as I feared.
Ive been chasing this issue for THREE WEEKS now. Every time I call they promise to send someone to fix it. Nothing happens. And now weeks later RXO tells me LG hasnt created a ticket yet. Really? Thats the excuse?
Between LG and RXO the responsibility is being passed around like a hot potato. I paid for a proper installation and got empty promises and poor service instead

Cooling light is on all the time. No matter the cycle no matter the phase of drying. The manual indicates the cooling light is on when the drying cycle is finished and the dryer is cooling down. Requested a repair. They sent a tech who told me that was normal.
Either way it is wrong. The dryer is drying or cooling. the cooling light shouldnt be one constantly if it is drying. Customer service and tech said this was normal. So if normal then the manual should claim the idiosyncracy which makes no common sense. The manual makes sense the actual function does not. One is right and one is not. They should fix the machine or fix the manual and reveal the design flaw.
I was told that if the clothes were drying then it didnt matter how the panel was lighting up.
it says high capacity but the manual tells you not to overload.
The noise level doesnt factor because the dryer is in the garage.
That is poor customer service. That is poor design. That is poor after purchase service.

Have only had the dryer a few days and seems to operate fine. We wanted a pretty basic dryer and purchased one recommended by Consumer Reports the highest rated LG under $1000. Had it even occurred me to check as to whether it had a drum light I never would have selected this model. I foolishly assumed it was standard and miss the convenience of having one. Also not wild about the end of cycle tune which apparently cannot be disabled.

Bought this dryer from Home Depot 6 months ago and it is now turning off after just a few minutes. Spent almost 45 minutes with customer service trying to troubleshoot. The representative said we needed to hire someone to clean out our dryer vent. We had that done before we installed the new dryer. We shouldnt have to keep troubleshooting your product when it isnt working. Had to request a supervisor to even get a ticket opened to have a technician sent out to look at our non working brand-new dryer I do not recommend this product. Terrible customer service.

Would give 0 stars if I could. Go to Lowes or Home Depot. LG is a mess. We ordered this a week ago...got a million text messages about shipping updates etc. Supposed to get delivered today and no update so we called customer service and they informed us that our dryer wasnt even ordered though our card was charged and they didnt have the haul away of our old dryer or any record of anything. Were pretty content with our dryer. We use it for heavy loads of prefold diapers and the sensor works most of the time to get the diapers completely dry. Were a bit surprised by the energy useage when using High Heat mode though. It looks like 1 to 2 dollars per load. I wish it would specify the amperage or wattage used on each of the heat settings. Im still searching for that or considering using my power meter to determine exactly what were spending. Purchased August 2023.

The DLE6100W clothes dryer was a gift for my parents. It is a wonderful upgrade from their old dryer. It does a great job of sensing when the clothes are dry as long as you dont have a mix of heavy and light weight clothes. And youare alerted by a very pleasant chime instead of a loud buzz. The dryer is also attractive with a modern minimalist look. My parents are extremely satisfied. So am I.

Not sure because I have not gotten my item. Its only been about a 4 days that I ordered my item and are having issues with customer service already. Please be mindful that the date your item is set to be delivered on the website is most likely not going to be the day you actually get the item. LG uses a separate delivery service and the day you get your item depends on their schedule. Ordered item on 12/6 with an estimated delivery date of 12/11. Today the delivery company emailed me to notify me the next time my item could be delivered was January 3rd 2025. Which is more than a month of a difference. When i tried to contact them to see if maybe I could pick it up instead since I am about 2.5hrs away they told me I had to contact LG directly. After about 30mins or so of trying to contact the correct customer service line the delivery company called me back saying my item would be delivered on 12/18 so the issue is maybe resolved? Not sure.

A very bad dryer bought it a month ago from Lowes. Now a month later its not drying clothes shuts down in 5 minutes by itself and clothes are not drying at all. I have been calling customer service for a long time as its brand new dryer under warranty and Lowes wont take it back too. But they are not doing anything at all. My $500 will be down the drain too. Do something LG I am seeing same complains from various customers here too did something for customer help us.
