Very Noisy In-Sink Garbage Disposal
ELS6406
10/31/2025
This in-sink garbage disposal works but is VERY noisy compared to the one it replaced. It sounds like the internal blades are striking or scraping the inside of the unit. It was a home warranty replacement; had we known it was so noisy, we would have never accepted this product. We are thinking about just replacing it out of pocket with a quieter unit.

This Garbage disposal was purchased and installed just three months ago and although it functions perfectly, there is already a significant rust build up in the interior, very visible when looking down into the disposal from the sink drain. I have owned several disposals over the years and have not had any one show this much rust this quickly. I would like this disposal replaced!!

I bought this from NFM a bit less than three months ago and although the disposal seems to be working well, when looking down into the disposal from sink level, a significant amount of rust is obvious!
I have not noticed this situation with previous disposals.
I would like for it to be replaced!

Upgrade replacement for unknown age of disposal that came with the house. Solid unit does not get used a lot, however no issues when it does.

I needed a new disposal unit, and I had my rental manager contact an appliance repairman. The repairman
brought and installed your product. I guess I can't complain when the appliance is recommended by someone who installs them. It has worked perfectly from day one. Thank you.

I purchase this unit a week ago from Amazon it arrive earlier than I expected, Whirlpool shipped it from Canada The unit was packed up nicely with everything that I needed to install it. this was my first time installing a garbage disposal it was Not as challenging as I thought it would be . The instructions are very clear just make sure you follow the steps in the order and you should be all right. This unit replaces the original one that was put in my house 21 years ago. Whirlpool updated there models through the years. This is the 2020 model same unit. I decided to stay with the same model, because 21 years is excellent
